Grandparents visit the Computer Lab!

What a blessing to have our Grandparents visit us at school.
First graders were able to bring their grandparents into the computer lab for their scheduled class time.  During class, students demonstrated their computer skills and invited their grandparents to learn a little about their lessons.
Fun was had by ALL!

Merry Christmas!!!

Thank you!!!

Thank you, parents, for allowing me to teach your children.  All the treasures they are bringing in to me for Christmas reminds me how important my job is.  But this little Christmas tree note made me cry.

Thank you, Grace, and all my students for being
a "Gem of Jesus"!!!

Merry Christmas
and much love
from,
Your Computer Teacher!!!

Gem of Jesus

Our Advent/Christmas project centered around precious gems.  After researching, learning and designing precious gems, students realized how valuable they are.  Equipped with this knowledge, we can then realize that to Jesus - we are so precious -
We are "Gems of Jesus".

Wishing everyone a Precious, Merry Christmas!

Hour of Code - Google Doodle programming

Students from 1st to middle school enjoyed learning to code using the Hour of Code Google Doodle Logo project.

Students choose a theme to highlight and then coded their logo.  Upon completion, they composed a one-page MLA report explaining their special day.

Robotics' Students entertain the crowd!

My nine-week Robotics Elective prepares the students in computer programming, engineering and team building skills.  But the highlight of this elective is the Sumo Bot competition.  This year's class did not disappoint the school and put on an amazing competition.  I am very proud of my students and hope they will have amazing memories from their middle school robotics' class.

Even the computer teacher can enjoy recess when students are collaborating well on creating braids for anyone interested.
